Let's Learn The Alphabets-Teacher's Guide
Throughout this 130- day learning experience, students will use visual, auditory, logical, verbal, and kinesthetic learning. They will learn that in order to be successful when learning the alphabet, one must be actively engaged by practicing. When practicing, they increase their knowledge which creates an understanding of the skill. According to Marzano, "Practice has always been, and always will be, a necessary ingredient to learning procedural knowledge at a level at which students execute it independently." (2010, 83) Practice allows children to make connections and apply knowledge. When teachers use this curriculum their students will be successful in recognizing and naming all uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet, letter formation and letter sounds.
